*Position open for Genetics Specialist*

Coimbra Genomics S.A., a recently launched venture-backed company, is 
recruiting one or more outstanding individuals to fulfill the role of 
Genetics Specialist.

The successful applicant will work closely with senior management and 
will be deeply involved in the development of Coimbra Genomics's 
clinical decision support platform.

We are looking for a strong-minded individual with an entrepreneurial 
spirit and the ability to work with small groups of specialists in 
complex situations. Applicants should have a PhD degree or equivalent in 
the life or health sciences and should be familiar with recent trends in 
genetics/genomics. Experience in human clinical genetic testing in an 
academic or commercial context would be a strong advantage. Previous 
bioinformatics experience would also be a plus. Good communication 
skills in English are mandatory.  Candidates should be ready and willing 
to work in a start-up environment.

The position is based at the Biocant Park in Cantanhede, near Coimbra. 
Compensation will be competitive in the Portuguese context, and may 
include a performance-based variable component.

Coimbra Genomics S.A. is a young technology-based company dedicated to 
the development of tools that aim to bridge genomic knowledge and 
medical practice. The company has a strong focus on cutting-edge 
technologies and carries out its own R&D projects in the field of 
genomics. Coimbra Genomics is a joint initiative of Critical Software, 
the Biocant Park and a group of experienced scientists and entrepreneurs.
