No próximo mês de Julho decorrerá o 9º RICI em Santiago de Compostela. 
Depois de um período longo de ausência de Congressos presenciais, esta é 
talvez uma boa ocasião para retomarmos alguma "normalidade".

Dear colleagues:

The Specialized Group of Colloids and Interfaces of the Royal Spanish 
Society of Chemistry and of the Royal Spanish Society of Physics, and 
the Group of Colloids, Polymers and Interfaces of the Portuguese Society 
of Chemistry are pleased to announce that the *9th Iberian Meeting of 
Coloides e Interfases (RICI 9)* will be held between *July 10-13 2022 in 
Santiago de Compostela.*

The RICI 9 program will be composed of plenary and invited lectures, 
oral communications, and poster presentations. A wide variety of 
*topics* will be covered in the different sessions, including:

  * (Bio)Colloids, Nanoparticle and Vesicles.
  * Surfaces, Interfaces, Films and Coatings
  * Surfactants, Polymers, Foams, Emulsions, Liquid Crystals, Polymeric
    and Colloidal Gels, and Glasses.
  * Active Matter, Advanced Nano/Micromaterials and Nano/Microdevices.
  * Theory and Computational Modeling of Complex Fluids and Colloidal
    Systems and Soft Matter.
  * Experimental Methods and Techniques in Colloid and Interface Science.
  * Pharmaceutical, Biomedical, Biotechnological and Food Applications
    of Nano/Micro-Systems and Colloidal and Interfacial Materials.
  * Colloids and Surfaces in Energy and Environmental Technologies.

Currently, the following *plenary speakers* are already confirmed:

  * Prof. Carmen Alvarez Lorenzo (Santiago de Compostela University)
  * Prof. Helmut Cölfen (University of Konstanz)
  * Prof. Luisa Duraes (University of Coimbra)
  * Prof. Andreas Fery (Leibniz Institute for Polymer Research)
  * Professor Roque Hidalgo Alvarez (University of Granada)
  * Prof. Tommy Nylander (Lund University)
  * Prof. Verónica de Zea Bermúdez (University of Tras os Montes e Alto
    Douro)

The scientific program will be complemented with an interesting social 
program. And with a city like Santiago de Compostela on its Jubilee Holy 
Year 2022.
