The Polymer Chemistry Laboratory (PCL) of Instituto Pedro Nunes (IPN) is
seeking a highly motivated Researcher holding a MSc to join our team in
applied research and innovation in the field of polymer science and
engineering. *This project* aims at the development of innovative
epoxy-based resins tailored for the automotive industry. The main goal is
to design advanced epoxy-based resins using only bio-based raw materials,
in order to reduce the greenhouse gas emissions associated with the
process. The project will be carried out in collaboration with 4itec, whose
expertise in advanced materials and industrial applications will be key to
bridging the gap between laboratory-scale innovation and large-scale
manufacturing solutions for automotive components.

*Profile & Requirements (Desirable requirements)*

   - MSc degree in Chemical Engineering, Polymer Engineering, Materials
   Science, or related fields.
   - Experience in polymeric materials, particularly in synthesis and
   processing.
   - Experience in polymer characterization techniques (thermal,
   mechanical, rheological, spectroscopic, etc.).
   - Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively in
   multidisciplinary teams.

*Responsibilities*

   - Conduct research in the synthesis and processing of epoxy-based
   materials.
   - Perform experimental design, synthesis, and characterization of
   polymers
   - Close interaction with company involved in the project
   - Write scientific reports (in Portuguese) and journal publications
