Group on Environment, Reaction and Separation Engineering
GERSE is a R&D group that focuses different research areas in the reaction
engineering and separation fields, with special emphasis on environmental technologies.

objectives

The  research activities of GERSE focus on the development of experimental and modeling studies in two main areas: Chemical Reaction Engineering and Separation Processes.  Most of the studies are directed to the pollution prevention and control.

The main objective of the research devoted to environmental protection is to develop alternative strategies to conventional treatments of liquid  and gas effluents, as well as the valorization of solid residues for environmental sustainability.
